Position Title: Feedlot Specialist

FUNCTION AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

By way of delegated functional authority from the National Sales Manager of Allflex USA, Inc. the Feedlot Specialist is responsible for contacting Feedyard Managers and decision makers to detail and effect sales of Allflex Feedlot Tags and EID systems within the Specialists assigned territory in addition to servicing and maintaining Feedlot Stamping Machines and applicator systems placed with existing Feedyard customers under Lease Agreement.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Detail product benefits of Allflex Feedlot products to Feedlot Managers, processing staff and all parties influencing the decision to purchase Allflex feeder tags and place systems within the Specialist’s Territory.

Implement and carry out product demonstrations and training with feedlot personnel to insure placement and proper use of Allflex Tags, Applicators and Stamping Machines.

Service and maintain stamping machines and applicators in feedyards using Allflex Products.

Coordinate with Allflex Management and Regional Managers to insure proper degree of contact and involvement with Distributor personnel, Industry associates, and third party influencers within the Feedlot Specialist’s Territory.

Participate in the planning and/or implementation of special projects as requested by Allflex Management.

Provide weekly written call reports of key activities and market conditions to insure accurate and strategic information flow between Specialist, Regional Managers and Allflex Management in regards to competitive product activities, Allflex product usage, forecasted sales and product needs, and strategies necessary to maintain or improve market position for Allflex USA, Inc.

Assist with technical product evaluations and field trial projects as presented by management in addition to resolving product complaints to minimize Allflex USA, Inc. liability while maintaining good customer relations.


GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

To have considerable knowledge of Allflex products, applicators, and stamping machines in conjunction with an understanding of the cattle feeding industry.

To work closely with Management to fulfill the job function within expense budgets and in accordance with Allflex USA, Inc. and Sales Department policies/procedures/systems and good sound business practices.

To effect and maintain a standard of working relationship, communication and cooperation with all internal and external personnel with whom it will be necessary to deal with in the course of performing the job function.


Essential Requirements:

Education: Bachelors Degree Preferred, at least 2 years experience in animal health feedlot business.
Must have experience utilizing Excel, Power Point, and have some technical skills. Demonstrate success in selling as well as regional/territory management.
Overnight travel required.

Base Location: Position will be based out of Southwest Kansas.
